The dance options for 2023 are as follows:

1. Dance Classes 
     Dance Classes will run over an 8-week term. Joining a dance class does not require an audition process but spaces are very limited.

2. Dance Crews
     We have various types of dance crews that cater to a wide range of ages and skill levels. To join a dance crew in 2023, dancers need to take part in our audition process.

Dance Crews are only for dancers aged 7+ years old.

      The types of crews we run are:

• DEVELOPMENT CREW: This type of crew is for dancers who are wanting to develop their skills in a crew setting. They will perform locally, compete regionally 1-2 times a year but will not compete nationally. They will work towards 1– 3 performances per term and train once a week unless additional trainings are required.      
   
•  COMPETITION CREWS. These crews are broken down into different skill levels. They are as follows:  
  • BRONZE CREW:      This type of crew is for dancers who are wanting to compete regionally 2 times a year and nationally 1 - 2 times per year. The dancers within these crews will be of an intermediate skill level for their age group. A moderate level of commitment is required to be in this crew type. They will work towards 1– 3 performances per term and train once a week unless additional trainings are required.      
  •  SILVER CREW:      This type of crew is for dancers who are wanting to compete regionally 2+ times a year and nationally 2-3 times per year. The dancers within these crews should have an intermediate to advance skill level for their age group. A moderate level of commitment is required to be in this crew type. They will work towards 1– 3 performances per term and train once a week unless additional trainings are required.   
  •  GOLD CREW:     This type of crew is for dancers who are wanting to compete regionally, nationally and with the hopes of internationally! The dancers within these crews will be the most experienced within their age division and a high level of commitment is required. These crews will train one – two times a week based on what they are working towards.   
  •  MEGACREW:     This crew is made up of 15+ dancers and will train once a week unless additional trainings are required. The dancers within this crew should have a minimum of an intermediate skill level for their age group.  A high level of commitment is required to be in this crew type. This crew will compete Regionally and Nationally. 

The audition process for joining a crew in 2023 is as follows:

• Dancers who did not dance in a crew in term 3 or 4 of 2022
  • Attend our audition day on Friday 13th or Friday 20th January
  • Attend crew call-backs which will happen between Monday 23rd Jan - Sun 29th 2023
• Dancers who were a part of a crew in term 3 or 4 of 2022
  • Attend crew call-backs which will happen between Monday 23rd Jan - Sun 29th 2023

After crew call-backs, dancers will be emailed with their crew options for 2023 and given a week to decide what they would like to do. 

Dance will start from Monday 6th February 2023 (possibly Tuesday 7th Feb, due to Waitangi Day).
